Who we are
Rian Air is a pilot academy built like an airline. Ground school, simulators, flight training abroad and type rating run on one system, RAPT™, so students, parents and instructors always share the same picture.
We exist to create elite pilots for India, and to hold the cockpit door open wider for women. Every student trains with simulator time inside ground school, a 24×7 pilot library in Delhi, and mentors who have flown the route themselves.

Straight answers.
- How do I become a pilot after 12th in India?
- You need Physics and Mathematics at the higher-secondary level, a DGCA Class 2 and then Class 1 medical, a DGCA-aligned ground school, the DGCA papers, and at least 200 hours of flight training. Realistically it takes 24–36 months, and the structure you choose decides most of the cost and the timeline.
- Can a commerce student become a pilot?
- Yes. Complete Physics and Mathematics through a recognised board such as NIOS first, since DGCA requires them. After that the route is the same: medicals, ground school, flight training. Plenty of working pilots came from non-science streams.
- What is the DGCA and why does it matter?
- The Directorate General of Civil Aviation regulates pilot training, licensing, medicals and flight safety in India. To fly commercially here you clear its exams, log approved hours and hold a valid medical. Knowing the rules early saves time and money.
